You may encounter the error MULTI APPS RUNNING in the System Health Monitor on the home page. When this occurs, the connection between your SIS database and LYNX is halted until the error is resolved.
This error is caused by having multiple instances of the local Java client (or LYNX-APP) installed and active for the same LYNX instance. The error message contains information on each LYNX-APP, including:
- DB_URL: the address of the database connected to the LYNX-APP
- HOST_NAME: the name of the database
To resolve the error, disable all but one LYNX-APP. Service should automatically be restored when it attempts to connect to LYNX again, usually within the next 60 seconds.
