Report Settings

  • Sort By lets you specify if data is sorted and displayed by Size or Value AND whether they are then sorted into Ascending or Descending order
  • Group By lets you choose whether each bar represents its own:
    • Organization
    • College
    • Headcount
    • Duration
    • Day Combination
    • Breakpoint
      • Note: Breakpoint dropdown options are present and grayed out unless you select the Breakpoints grouping option
  • Size By determines whether charts are scaled by:
    • Events
    • Meetings
    • Meeting Hours
    • Contact Hours
    • Headcount
    • Critical Percentage — Shows the critical percentage of each grouping, similar to the Seat Utilization “Size By” option in the Location Usage report.
    • Difference Percentage — This shows the difference between the expected critical time percentage and the actual critical time percentage, with “0” indicating that the grouping’s critical time percentage falls within the expected critical range
      • Examples: If an organization has a critical time percentage of 80% and the expected critical range is between 30% and 60%, this would show as 20% in this view; if an organization has a critical time percentage of 25% with the same range, this would show as -5%
    • Difference Hours — This is similar in concept to Difference Percentage, but in meeting hours. The number of meeting hours above/below what is expected for each grouping given the number of total meeting hours for their events and the expected critical percentage for the data set
  • Expected Critical Percentage — Defaults to Critical Percentage with the option to adjust
  • Orientation — Determines whether bars on the chart are located on the Y or X axis
  • Limit — Determines how many groups of events appear as bars in the report
    • Selecting Show Top Residual or Show Bottom Residual will display the top/bottom remaining groups, combined into a single bar

Reading the Report

  • The X-axis and Y-axis represent the chosen values in the Group By dropdown (i.e. organizations) and the Size By dropdown (i.e. events) depending on the Orientation
  • By default this report is shaded in two tones, one to represent the total Size (such as number of events) for each Group (like an organization) and the other to show the percentage of that Size that falls within the critical time period specified in the filter
  • If on a desktop computer, mousing over each bar will reveal:
    • the name of the group
    • the value of the total Size By option
    • the percentage within the critical range
